Chinese terracotta army

The exhibition, which also tells the story of how the artifacts were found 30 years ago, will be on display at the VAM Design Center (6th district, Király u.26.) until September 18, entrance fee from 1500,-/child, 2500,-/adults.

The original terracotta army was unearthed in 1974. Farmers digging a well in Xi'an, Shaanxi province found the mausoleum of China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, who died in 210 BC. Figures of thousands of life-size warriors and horses were discovered inside the tomb.

The exhibition features 100 quality replicas of figures, weapons, jewelry and everyday objects. Sounds and lights are used to create a mood for the story of the emperor and his army. In a small cinema, visitors can watch a movie about the discovery of the treasure.
